Magazine Production

The role of print production director is seemingly unglamorous but it is an opportunity collaborate with editors, photographers, designers and other creative teams within a magazine. New York Magazine published over 40 issues a year and as Senior Production Manger, I had a myriad of responsibilities:

  • Determine content layout with editors and sales managers and mange issue maps.
  • Color-correct, revise and approve all digital and print art for stories and supervise press checks.
  • Reviewed print quality for each issue and analyze with color vendor for quality control.
  • Estimated weekly book size, ad percentage and postage and review printer and freight invoices.
  • Supervise paper management including annual forecasting, managing stock and all ordering.

Web Production

As a former AVP in Digital Media and digital creative consultant, I have collaborated with and managed teams of producers, developers, writers and designers to create and/or relaunch websites for many established brands. This work has included bespoke hard-coded sites driven by programming agencies, as well as simpler sites created in WordPress and Shopify. These sites include:
